Our Tygervalley campus Open Day, hosted on Saturday, 29 March, was a vibrant showcase of what the future looks like across Applied Science, Commerce, Humanities, Information Technology, and Law. Prospective students, parents, and sponsors joined us to explore our state-of-the-art campus, connect with academic staff, and discover the diverse study options available across all our faculties.
Our dedicated Student Advisors were on campus to guide visitors with tours of our campus and our cutting-edge learning facilities, including our newly introduced Applied Science labs.
To elevate the experience, Smile FM, with Success Lekabe, brought energy and entertainment to the event with music and interactive segments. Their presence added a fun and welcoming atmosphere, creating a space where prospective students could feel excited and comfortable about their future.
We also welcomed several of our student wellness and funding partners, who were there to support and engage with future Vossies. Virgin Active joined us to promote the importance of student wellness and a balanced lifestyle, while Absa and Manati were on campus to discuss accessible funding options.
As part of our commitment to providing quality higher education, we celebrated the expansion of our sought-after Applied Science faculty in the Western Cape. A dedicated shuttle service transported guests to the nearby Tygervalley extension site, just 1.3km from the main campus, where prospective students toured our brand-new, state-of-the-art science labs.
This milestone brings future-focused higher education closer to students in the Western Cape, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in high-demand science careers.
“Eduvos is continuously looking at ways to make quality, future-focused higher education more accessible throughout the country,” says Dr Siva Danaviah, Head of Programme: Applied Science. “There is a growing demand for skills in biomedicine and biotechnology. These fields are rapidly evolving and are essential to South Africa’s development.”
We’re empowering future scientists with cutting-edge education and real-world experience. Our Applied Science faculty offers a unique learning environment where students gain hands-on experience in Biosafety Level 1 (BSL-1) laboratory facilities. These state-of-the-art labs are equipped with industry-standard tools, ensuring students develop the technical and analytical skills needed in the field.
We’ve partnered with several funding providers to support you in financing your studies. Keep an eye out for external bursaries made available to our Vossies.
There’s still time to start your studies for 2025. Enrol now to start 5 May. If you’re in matric, you can pre-enrol for 2026 to secure your seat.
