Producing employable graduates is a priority for all of our students. We Instill skills which are imperative to one becoming more employable from first year, right through to the completion of your degree. Our ongoing relationships with industry partners also enable us to assist our students and alumni to have a footprint in their various industries

As a result, our graduates adjust easily into the work environment through the skills developed through our employability centre. We place an extremely high emphasis on the quality of our graduates, and through our Employability programme our graduates leave our institution at a level where they can seamlessly adjust to the workplace.
Work Readiness Webinars
Students are also guided through their employability journeys in the form of regular workshops which focus on an array of topics aimed at improving their skills and knowledge through interactive presentations, discussions and activities. The programme for these sessions are available in the employability guide accessible on the myLMS employability page.
Employability workshops will include topics such as professionalism in the workplace, interview skills and mastering the elevator pitch, CV writing and cover letters. Midrand campus will also be hosting a career fair during which students can interact with potential employers, network and practice their skills obtained through the employability workshops and the VEC.
The Virtual Employability Centre (VEC)
All students have access to the Virtual Employability Centre (VEC): an online platform which allows them to increase their knowledge through over 700 short courses. . You can access articles, watch videos of employers and get career coaching, access career planning tools and e-learning modules, build your CV and practice for interviews. The VEC also grants students access to an array of career assessments and quizzes, career services tools such as a CV Builder, CV360 CV checker, cover letter builder, and also allows provides students with interview skills through the interview360 tool.
The VEC and employability curriculum differs per level of study and is aimed at preparing students for employment from the very start of their academic career. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the curriculum.
