A completed Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) or an appropriate Diploma (NQF Level 6) from an accredited institution.
• And a minimum of 24 credits in the undergraduate programme, completed over at least two academic years with sufficient prior study in the discipline associated with the Senior Phase (SP) specialisations.
• And a minimum of 48 credits in the undergraduate programme, completed over at least three academic years with sufficient prior study in the discipline associated with the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase specialisations.
• And students cannot choose modules that do not align with their field of study in the undergraduate qualification.
• And the Bachelor’s or Diploma qualification must include at least two school-relevant teaching subjects (e.g. History, Visual Art, Drama, Psychology, Geography, English, Mathematics, Information Technology, Economics, Business Management, Science related qualification, etc.)
This enables them to choose one specialisation option in the PGCE programme: Senior Phase (English FAL, Mathematics, Arts & Culture, Life Orientation, Social Sciences, Economic Management Sciences, Coding and Robotics, or Natural Sciences).
• And one specialisation option in the PGCE programme: FET Phase (History, Dramatic Arts, Visual Art, English FAL, Geography, Life Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Application Technology, or Business Studies).
