Experience Sports at Eduvos.

Post by Eduvos, February 27, 2026.

Sport is more than just an extracurricular at Eduvos; it's a powerful platform for personal growth and connection. While academic excellence and career readiness remain core to our purpose, we recognise that campus life becomes far more meaningful when you have space to compete, connect, and challenge yourself beyond lectures and study halls.

Sports Across 12 Campuses.

With 12 campuses across South Africa, each campus brings its own energy and culture to student life.

Across campuses, students can participate in a wide range of sports, from competitive to recreational activities like rugby, netball, cheerleading, and soccer to strategic games like chess, snooker, and esports. Competitive gaming is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing global industries, and our students are already part of this movement. Esports creates a space for strategic thinking, teamwork, digital agility, and high-level competition in a format that reflects the future of sport and entertainment and is available across all our campuses. It is another way students can represent their campus, sharpen their skills, and build community in a digitally connected world.

Here's an overview of the sporting options available at each campus:

Recent Sport Highlights.

The past year has demonstrated just how competitive and committed our students are on and off the field.

Esports

In 2025, the Eduvos Esports team went head-to-head against Stellenbosch University's Maties Esports team in a friendly game of Rocket League. Our Vossies also showcased their skills at major events, such as Comic Con and rAge.

Basketball

Our Midrand Vossies shone throughout the season. They dominated on the court against Stadio with a 66-19 win and later beat Midrand Heat 66-44. Tough opponents like Kings Academy only strengthened our team's resolve.

Soccer

Vossie FC made a strong impression in the Betway Hollywood Bets League Yellow Stream. With victories against Apaa and Prestige Football Academy, and a series of resilient draws, they held their ground. Our Mbombela campus also hosted the Eduvos Invitational Intercollege Soccer Tournament, attracting regional teams and reinforcing our status as a soccer powerhouse.

Netball and Soccer

The Rosebank Tournament was another standout moment. Our Durban (Umhlanga) campus secured 1st place in netball and 3rd in soccer, proof of the depth of talent across our campuses.

More than Just Sport.

While winning matters, the role of sport at Eduvos goes far deeper. It builds community, instils discipline, and nurtures personal growth. Intercampus friendly rivalries bring excitement, but they also foster pride, belonging, and solidarity.

Sports act as a bridge between our campuses, connecting students from different backgrounds and linking individual ambitions with collective achievements. This is what makes the Eduvos experience distinct: our graduates leave with more than qualifications; they carry lifelong skills, meaningful relationships, and unforgettable memories.
