The future of science belongs to you, the next generation of visionary innovators in biotechnology and biomedicine.

The 2nd Annual Eduvos BioVerse Competition invites third year and honours-level students from private and public higher education institutions to showcase bold scientific innovation, ingenuity, and passion in addressing real-world challenges unique to our continent, our people, and our resources.

This is your opportunity to take your ideas beyond the lecture halls and into a space where science meets real-world impact. You are invited to choose the category that best aligns with your innovation and submit a proposal that reflects your scientific thinking and creativity.

• Biomedicine focuses on diagnostics, drug delivery systems, medical devices, public health interventions, and community-based healthcare solutions.
• Biotechnology explores genetic engineering, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence in bioscience, biomaterials, and biotech entrepreneurship.
• Food Security and Sustainability focuses on environmental biotechnology, sustainable development in food and water systems, and responsible natural resource management.

To enter, you will need to submit a proposal that presents your bio-innovation or bio-entrepreneurship idea. Your submission should clearly explain the problem you are addressing, your proposed solution, the potential impact of your idea, the business case and feasibility of your approach, and your plan for implementation.

All submissions will be assessed on innovation, scientific merit, feasibility, and impact. From all entries, two participants will be selected from each category, with six finalists. These finalists will advance to a live pitch event where they will compete to determine first, second, and third place.
