In a major milestone for Eduvos and our Faculty of Information Technology, our Eduvos Mowbray Campus proudly announces that four of our students have been selected for the renowned Pick n Pay Graduate Programme for 2025.
This collaboration with Pick n Pay is a clear reflection of our Eduvos Employability Model – our commitment to preparing students for more than just graduation. At Eduvos, academic excellence goes hand in hand with real-world readiness. Through dedicated campus support, mentoring, and industry engagement, we equip our students to lead in a fast-changing job market.
“At Eduvos, we’re committed to preparing our students not just for graduation, but for meaningful careers,” says Billy de Beer, Campus General Manager, Eduvos Mowbray. “Our collaboration with the Pick n Pay Graduate Programme is a testament to our focus on employability – where academic excellence meets real-world experience. We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing this opportunity and showcasing the creativity and talent that Eduvos shapes. We’re grateful to the Pick n Pay Graduate Programme team for believing in our students and investing in their growth. This marks an exciting step forward for our alumni and the future of industry-relevant education in South Africa.”
This exciting partnership began in 2024 when Pick n Pay’s Head Office approached Eduvos to access top-tier IT talent. Following a series of collaborative discussions and rigorous interviews with Pick n Pay executives, it was evident that our IT students embody the innovation, technical expertise, skill, and potential that the retail giant values. We’re proud to be recognised as a trusted academic partner, proof that our industry-aligned curriculum and commitment to developing work-ready graduates are making an impact.
The outcome? Four of our students were chosen for the 2025 intake of Pick n Pay’s paid graduate programme, a career-launching opportunity that offers valuable workplace experience, mentorship, and long-term potential growth. Their performance throughout the selection process showed not just academic strength, but the confidence but also their readiness to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and creativity.
“The IT Bursary and 2025 Graduate Programme I was recently awarded has paved my path through the next two years and opened doors to a successful career in software engineering”, says Caleb Riordan a 3rd year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Software Engineering) student. “I am especially grateful to Eduvos and the many support staff who have assisted me throughout my journey. My Student Affairs Advisor has been extremely helpful in facilitating the whole process. I believe one shapes their own future with hard work, and Eduvos was the foundation. I am excited to launch my career and take on real-world challenges that put my skills to the test.”
As we celebrate this success, we’re looking ahead with excitement. The Pick n Pay partnership is just the beginning. Eduvos remains committed to creating powerful industry connections that support student growth and open doors to impactful careers.
