Why did you choose to study at Eduvos?
I decided to study at Eduvos since I was given an opportunity to study the qualification of my dreams. I took an interest in studying through a private institution and what stood out for me was Eduvos’s slogan, Your Education. Your Future., which indicated to me that my education and future matter and I’m not just a number at Eduvos but a student who is going to achieve greatness and be motivated to reach the top in the world of work. I chose to study a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting because of my interest in numbers and understanding what the accounting principles would be for different scenarios in the real world.
How would you describe your Eduvos experience?
My experience at Eduvos was amazing. Eduvos is well equipped with many facilities that enable us students to live out our best student life and enjoy our studies at the same time. There are fun activities to be a part of and many awareness programmes that help build us up as a student. The lecture venues are well equipped with projectors and spacious seating which allowed me to experience comfort and understanding being in a class where there was individual attention given to all students and this gave me an opportunity to learn better and ask questions where I needed guidance on.
Describe your experience with your lecturers.
The lecturers were always willing to assist me when and if needed. I was taught real-life scenarios for future situations and how to deal with them. It was the most pleasant experience to be at an institution where every staff member knows your name and does their best to ensure that you are always assisted and that your needs are taken care of. The Eduvos lecturers are the best and always have their student’s best interests in mind. They each equipped me with skills and competencies to go out and showcase what I learnt to the world.
What made Eduvos unique to you?
Eduvos gave me my big break by giving me the opportunity to begin my studies and have the choice to study the qualification of my dreams, they offer various opportunities for students with different qualification structures and plans that fit into the student’s lifestyle, which was a great help for me since I wanted to pursue my IT Higher Certificate first and then continue with BCom in Accounting.
Do you have any advice for future Vossies?
It would be the best choice ever to study at Eduvos, as you would be eligible to have the best quality education ever. You never feel alone as there is always proper guidance given to all students. You’re able to get one on one assistance from any lecturer and the staff at Eduvos are always smiling, always friendly and willing to assist where they can. It was an incredible journey being at Eduvos, and a journey I would never regret or forget.
How has Eduvos equipped you for the world of work?
Being at Eduvos has equipped me and enabled me to contribute my skills and knowledge learnt and showcase them at my current workplace. With that being said, studying a BCom in Accounting at Eduvos, with its ACCA accreditation, has given me the opportunity to do my ACCA articles at one of South Africa’s best audit firms, Nexia SAB&T which is also a part of Nexia International. ACCA is a British Global professional accounting body and being a part of ACCA opens opportunities here in South Africa and in international waters.
