Meet Tshiamo Modutswane, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Software Engineering) graduate whose journey at Eduvos reflects determination, support, and real-world readiness.
For Tshiamo, the decision to join Eduvos was inspired by the insight of a relative who recognised Eduvos’ strong reputation for tech-focused education. “One of my family members advised me to study at Eduvos since it offers one of the best industry-relevant curricula for Information Technology,” he recalls.
That advice led Tshiamo to the Vanderbijlpark (Vaal) campus, where he found much more than academic development. From day one, he felt part of a vibrant, welcoming student community. What truly stood out to him was how Eduvos ensured every student had a chance to succeed. Tshiamo credits much of his growth to the close-knit learning environment and the support of passionate lecturers. “The lecture rooms are small and interactive, so it’s easier for our lecturers to see who is struggling and offer a helping hand. They make sure no student is left behind,” he shares.
One of Tshiamo’s proudest moments at Eduvos was his final-year group project: a fully functional full-stack mobile app. “That final project was a highlight. It was frustrating at times, but it forced us to apply everything we learned, from first year to third year,” Tshiamo explains. The experience reflected Eduvos’ emphasis on practical learning, which equips our students with real-world skills while fostering teamwork, creative problem-solving, and tech confidence. “Our lecturers ensured we were fully prepared for the workplace environment and its demands,” he adds.
As he prepares for his next chapter in the tech industry, Tshiamo does so with gratitude and pride. His Eduvos experience gave him a formal qualification as well as a mindset built on resilience, collaboration, and the belief that no one gets left behind.
