We’ve recently introduced the Eduvos Law Clinic at our Midrand campus. This is a space where knowledge meets real-world application, giving our law students the opportunity to put their learning into practice while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
If you are studying towards a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Commerce in Law, or Bachelor of Arts in Law and Politics, or Law and Economics, the clinic plays a vital role in your academic journey. It forms part of your Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) requirement, offering practical, supervised experience in a professional legal setting.
Students in the BA Law programmes complete 80 hours of WIL. BCom Law students complete 160 hours. Final-year LLB students fulfil their Practical Legal Studies through the clinic. All hours are recorded, signed off, and count toward graduation requirements, professional portfolios, and Curriculum Vitae (CV) development.
This experience allows students to work directly with clients, manage legal documentation, and gain insight into how the law functions in everyday life. With the support of qualified legal professionals, you’ll build the confidence, professionalism, and ethical awareness you need to thrive in your future careers.
The Eduvos Law Clinic is not just a space for academic growth. It is a stepping stone into the legal profession and a place where students begin to understand the true responsibility of serving others through the law.
The Eduvos Law Clinic also offers a vital service to the community. Many people face legal challenges but cannot afford private legal assistance. The clinic addresses this need by providing free legal support to those who qualify through a means test.
Final-year law students, under the supervision of experienced attorneys, offer assistance in several areas, including family law, such as unopposed divorce, custody, maintenance, and domestic violence matters. The clinic also supports cases related to labour law, consumer law, and will drafting.
Located on the second floor of the H-Building at Eduvos Midrand, the clinic is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 to 11:00. Community members can book an appointment by calling +27 11 690 1817 or emailing lawclinic@eduvos.com. Walk-ins are also welcome, depending on availability.
Through the Law Clinic, Eduvos upholds its commitment to values-based higher education, which provides students with practical legal experience while extending much-needed support to those who need it most. The clinic stands as a reminder that education is not just about personal achievement. It is about using knowledge to serve, uplift, and create lasting change.
There’s still time to enrol for 2025, and if you’re in Matric, this is the perfect opportunity to pre-enrol for 2026.
