Studying law at Eduvos isn’t just about mastering legal theory; it’s about applying it. Our Faculty of Law prepares students for real-world impact through a blend of academic excellence, diverse learning modes, and hands-on legal practice.
Whether your dream is to become an attorney, advocate, legal advisor, or pursue a career in politics, business, or economics, Eduvos offers you more than just a qualification. We offer a purpose-driven journey to becoming a confident, critical thinker who thrives in a constantly evolving world.
The Eduvos Faculty of Law is built on three pillars; academic excellence, ethical development, and career-readiness. Our specialised qualifications include:
Each programme is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), ensuring that your qualification is recognised and respected nationally and internationally.
Beyond accreditation, our approach to learning sets us apart. Our students gain the skills and ethical grounding needed to make meaningful contributions across multiple sectors, from corporate and commercial law to public service and advocacy.
Every student’s journey is unique, that’s why we offer a range of learning modes, technology-enabled learning that works around your life. Different to the BCom programme mode of learning, the LLB programme offers optional national online lectures (three hours per week) delivered in TED Talk-style formats by subject-matter experts.
On-campus support sessions (two hours per week) focus on case law, tutorials, and collaborative discussion as well as recorded sessions for self-paced review. The model ensures that you’re supported no matter where you’re learning from or what your schedule looks like.
Theory is essential. However, we know that becoming a great legal mind also requires practical exposure. That’s why our law students participate in immersive experiences such as field trips to high courts, debates, moot court competitions, and legal research clubs like the Vossie Verdict Club across campuses.
Our students have the opportunity to showcase their advocacy skills during Moot Court Competitions across the campuses, these opportunities bring together legal professionals, students, and academics in a simulated courtroom experience.
We are proud to celebrate a milestone for our Faculty of Law: our first student participation at the prestigious Christof Heyns African Moot Court Competition, showcasing some of the sharpest legal minds across Africa, offering a platform for future legal professionals to hone their advocacy skills, engage with real-world issues, and represent their institutions on an international stage.
These events reflect our belief that law is best learned through doing and that our students deserve every opportunity to test their skills in real legal environments.
We are proud to announce the introduction of our first Eduvos Law Clinic at our Midrand Campus. This landmark initiative bridges the gap between academic learning and community impact.
Through the clinic, third-year Law students will gain real, supervised legal experience, assisting indigent members of the public with legal advice in areas like:
Under the guidance of qualified legal professionals, students will conduct client interviews, draft legal documents, and build skills in legal writing, ethics, and communication, all while making a tangible difference in the lives of underserved South Africans.
This is Work-Integrated Learning at its most impactful, with students not just graduating with a degree; however, graduating with a purpose.
We’re not just preparing students for the legal profession, we’re shaping future leaders, advocates, entrepreneurs, and policy changemakers who can think critically, act ethically, and lead confidently. Whether you’re stepping into your first law lecture or preparing for professional practice, the Faculty of Law is your gateway to opportunity, and the Eduvos Law Clinic is your opportunity to create change before you even graduate.
