Eduvos Students Shine at the Student Gold Pack Awards.
Post by Eduvos, October 31, 2025.
We are proud to share that 14 of our Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design Vossies showcased their innovative packaging designs at the 2025 Student Gold Pack Awards, hosted by the Institute of Packaging SA.
Designing for Impact
The Student Gold Pack Awards give students from higher education institutions across South Africa a platform to demonstrate their creativity, skills, and understanding of real-world design challenges. This year’s competition focused on three key categories:
- Accessible Packaging: Inclusive designs that make packaging usable for a wide range of people.
- Single Serve Packaging: Smart solutions for convenient, single-use items.
- Quick Service Restaurant (QRS) Takeaway Packaging: Designs for delivery, drive-thru, and e-commerce meals that preserve quality and freshness.
Where Learning Meets the Real World
Bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry experience is at the heart of all our qualifications. Competitions like the Student Gold Pack Awards challenge our Vossies to apply what they’ve learned, build confidence, and gain valuable industry insights.
“I am absolutely overwhelmed with pride at what our students and staff have achieved at the 2025 Student Gold Pack Awards,” says Judith Evans, Programme Manager. “Having 14 finalists representing several campuses across Eduvos is unprecedented, and it demonstrates that design excellence thrives throughout our entire institution. Having been invited to judge on the Graphic Design panel this year was a true honour, and seeing our students excel amongst the nation's best was incredibly rewarding. This is the third year in a row that our students have placed in the top three for their categories, which is a testament to the quality and consistency we've built into this programme.”
