We have partnered with RGB Gaming to exhibit at the world-famous event – next week!
Comic Con Cape Town 2023 (CCPT) will take place between 27 and 30 April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre 2 (CTICC2). Eduvos and RGB will be in the main gaming hall at exhibition space E208 from 09:00 to 17:00 each day.
Both RGB Gaming and Eduvos believe that esports holds value beyond just teaching students how to game. It has the potential for students to build a strong sense of community, and we can’t wait to see how our Vossies leverage esports to support their studies.
Esports At Eduvos
Eduvos is also excited about the academic potential of esports and the influence it will have on our Vossies. Esports provides a bridge to STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) fields as teams must analyse data, review their strategies and learn to understand the computer hardware and software. These skills aid students with problem solving, strategising, and developing creative solutions, to name a few, and can apply to all studies, no matter the qualification or specialisation.
Eduvos Esports at Comic Con
We are so proud to be hosting a group of our very own Eduvos Vossie Gamers who will be gaming with us and RGB on Saturday, 29 April from 09:00 to 13:00. The teams will go head-to-head in a game of Overwatch, and there is also an amazing pool of prizes and trophies to be won.
Our teams comprise of students from our Cape Town campuses; Claremont and Tyger Valley. Their gaming abilities may range from beginner to experienced, but these Vossies are ready to unleash their inner hero potential. We look forward to seeing which campus will show its ultimate ability at Comic Con Cape Town.
