Our Eduvos Mbombela Campus General Manager, Raisa Ross, proudly participated in the Mpumalanga Provincial G20 Education Summit – a gathering of education leaders, policymakers, and institutions committed to shaping a more inclusive and resilient education system. The summit provided a meaningful platform for reflection and collaboration around key issues affecting education at both local and global levels.
An important topic at the summit was the rapid digital transformation shaping education worldwide. The importance of equitable access to technology, alongside digital training for teachers, is a vital component for modern classrooms. Eduvos is actively responding to this need. Through our blended learning model and digital-focused curricula, we prepare students to navigate and excel in an increasingly interconnected world. Embedding digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration into our programmes ensures our graduates are adaptable and future ready.
Inclusion was also a central theme, with discussions addressing disparities in education for rural, indigenous, and marginalised communities. Strategies such as culturally responsive teaching, language inclusion, and support for learners with special needs were highlighted as essential for equity. Eduvos embraces these principles wholeheartedly. With 12 campuses nationwide, we serve diverse student populations, striving to create learning environments where every student feels supported and empowered. Our student support services, and inclusive teaching practices help break down barriers, fostering equal opportunity for academic and personal growth.
The summit further underscored the vital role families play in student success. Empowering parents through workshops, outreach, and digital literacy initiatives strengthens learner engagement and well-being, particularly in underserved communities. We are inspired to develop initiatives that enhance this engagement, creating a more supportive network around students to promote retention and success.
Participation in the G20 Education Summit reinforced Eduvos’ commitment to agile, innovative and student-centred education. The dialogue highlighted the need to think beyond immediate academic goals and invest in long-term learner empowerment, nurturing resilience, adaptability, and readiness for a rapidly changing world. It also revealed opportunities for greater collaboration with communities, policymakers and global partners.
Attending the summit was a powerful reminder that education transformation requires collective effort – uniting institutions like Eduvos with families, government and industry to build a better future. As we continue on this path, Eduvos remains dedicated to delivering quality, inclusive higher education that prepares students not only to succeed but to lead and contribute meaningfully to society.
