Logos Hope Floating Book Fair with Eduvos Durban (Umhlanga).

Post by Eduvos, June 11, 2024.

On Friday, 31 May, the Eduvos Durban (Umhlanga) Humanities faculty visited the floating book fair on the Logos Hope ship, offering avid book lovers an unforgettable literary and cultural experience. The ship was stationed at the Nelson Mandela Terminal at the Durban Harbour, which made for an interesting journey to access the fair.

The Logos Hope provided our Vossies a chance to network with international crew members, taste the delights of their cafeteria, and, of course, buy as many books as they could carry back to campus.

Senzeko Nxumalo, a first-year student said, ''It was good to see so many different people, I walked around and took in the scenery, I wish I had more time on the ship! It truly was amazing, it's not every day you get to waltz around a floating book fair."

Keiana Murthi, first-year student said: '"I look forward to Eduvos field trips because they help create new memories.  The Logos Hope was an amazing experience for me. I had so much fun exploring the boat with my friends and learnt so much." This campus’ field trips marks one of the many events hosted at our Durban (Umhlanga) campus throughout the year, across all faculties.
