How To Use SmartFunder

Earlier this month we announced and introduced our new partnership with SmartFunder. We are so excited about this partnership and are happy to share more insight and information on how you can use SmartFunder to finance your future studies.

What they offer

SmartFunder offers a monthly payment option that allows students to pay off their study fees over an extended period of up to 48 months. This significantly reduces the monthly repayments, making education more affordable and accessible to students.

How it works

1. Applicants submit their application online.

2. You apply for a monthly repayment amount and period that makes sense for you.

3. Once approved, Smartfunder will pay Eduvos directly on your behalf.

How to apply

Submit your application here. The application process is completely online and can be completed within a few minutes.

What you need to apply

Course name

Course/study fee

Student number (optional)

No documents are required but depending on your application additional document may be requested after the application is completed.

Who could qualify

Applicants need to have a South African ID number and bank account and they need to be permanently employed and receive a regular income. If you are not permanently employed, and you do not receive a regular income you are welcome to share the link with a family member or friend, if they are willing to be responsible for the payment on your behalf.

The credit assessment will be based on our credit provider’s credit granting rules, the applicant’s personal credit profile, and affordability.

How to check what my monthly payments will be

Your monthly repayment will be completely dependent on your credit profile, the amount you apply for, and the term selected. Your actual monthly repayment can only be confirmed once you complete the application.

For an estimate of what your monthly payment could be, please refer to the table “What will my monthly payment be” on their FAQ page
