Our Faculty of Humanities is designed for students who are curious about people, culture, communication, and the forces that shape society. With a strong focus on critical thinking, creativity, and human understanding, the faculty brings together disciplines that empower you to question, interpret, and influence the world around you. 

Studying Humanities exposes you to the complexities of human behaviour, language, media, politics, and design. Throughout your studies, you will develop the ability to think analytically, communicate effectively, and engage with diverse perspectives. These skills prepare you for meaningful careers across industries where insight, empathy, and innovation are highly valued. 

Qualifications in the Faculty of Humanities 

The Faculty of Humanities offers a range of qualifications designed to support different academic journeys and career goals. 

If you require additional preparation, the Bachelor of Arts Access Programme (Humanities) and Pre-degree Foundation Programmes in Graphic Design and Social Science provide a strong academic foundation for further study. 

At a higher certificate level, the Higher Certificate in Art and Design introduces you to creative and conceptual thinking within a structured learning environment. 

At degree level, we offer the following:  

Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design

For those looking to specialise further, the Bachelor of Arts Honours in Graphic Design offers an opportunity to deepen your expertise and refine your creative and strategic practice. 

Admission Requirements 

To study towards a Bachelor of Arts degree, you need a minimum of 50% in Grade 12 English or an equivalent qualification. Depending on your subject combination, additional support in Mathematics may be required for certain streams such as Law and Economics or Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.
