Become Employable with Eduvos.

Getting a qualification is an incredible milestone and the start of your future in your chosen field. Stepping into the working world and applying what you’ve learned can still feel daunting. That’s why preparing you for the workplace, and giving you the confidence to step into it, sits at the heart of every Eduvos programme.

What Work-Integrated Learning Looks Like

Work-Integrated Learning is built into your qualification as a credit-bearing requirement for certain programmes. It is not something extra you do on the side, it forms part of how your degree is structured.

In your first and second year, you build the knowledge and skills that form the foundation of your learning and career path. Then, in your final year, Work-Integrated Learning gives you the opportunity to apply that knowledge in a real working environment. The programme typically runs over a few weeks and places you within a business or organisation, where you are exposed to the day-to-day realities of your field.

During this time, you complete practical assignments, make decisions, solve problems, and begin to connect what you’ve learned in a more integrated, applied way. You also gain insight into how your field works in practice, how teams operate, how decisions are made, and what is expected of you in a professional environment.

This process is supported by the Employability and Work-Readiness Unit, which helps you prepare for the experience and develop the professional skills that matter in the workplace. It teaches you how to communicate clearly, work with others, and contribute meaningfully in real situations. For many students, this experience opens doors, helping to build confidence, expand your network, and, in some cases, lead directly to further opportunities after graduation.

Why This Matters When You Graduate

When you graduate, you should feel confident stepping into the world of work, and that’s what Eduvos aims to support through Work-Integrated Learning. By the time you graduate, you have already experienced what a working environment feels like. You have applied what you have learned, worked with others, and taken responsibility for your work. As Shammah Mutunduwe explains, “I learned how to always be positive and how to work under pressure, which improved my communication skills.”

Turning Learning into Real-World Experience

Through our Employability and Work-Readiness Unit, we have built strong relationships with organisations across a range of sectors, from law firms to tech companies and businesses across South Africa.

In a recent survey of 42 companies across 12 campuses, 90% said they would consider hiring Eduvos graduates, and 81% said they would host Eduvos students again. What’s more, across campuses and disciplines, our students noted an average satisfaction rating of 4.67 out of 5, with more than 95% of participants describing their placement as good or excellent.

In addition to our Work-Integrated Learning, you also have access to workshops, career fairs, and resources that prepare you for the job market while you’re still studying. Tools like Shadowmatch help you understand how you work best, while platforms like eLaunched connect you to opportunities and insights.

Thanks to Work-Integrated Learning, you’re not stepping into the working world for the first time. You walk in with an understanding of what’s expected, how to contribute, and how to apply what you’ve learned in real situations, and the confidence to start building your career.
