Building Connections and Empowering Growth: Eduvos Potchefstroom and GSOK Networking Event.

Post by Eduvos, May 15, 2026.

The Eduvos Potchefstroom campus recently hosted a collaborative networking event in partnership with the Gimmie-sport Ondersteunersklub (GSOK), an initiative founded by parents of Potchefstroom Gimnasium to support and advance school sport.

As part of GSOK’s broader vision, its network creates opportunities for businesses and organisations to connect, collaborate, and grow. In April, the Potchefstroom campus brought together a diverse group of local businesses, private higher education institutions, and GSOK members for a morning focused on innovation, knowledge sharing, and meaningful engagement.

The event opened with a welcome that highlighted what sets Eduvos apart as an award-winning private higher education provider. Attendees were reminded of its recognition through the PMR Africa Diamond Arrow Awards for four consecutive years, reflecting a continued commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance.

A key highlight of the session was a practical introduction to Artificial Intelligence and its growing role in modern business. Guests participated in a hands-on exercise, applying AI tools to develop tailored marketing strategies for their own organisations. This interactive approach encouraged practical learning and sparked valuable discussions around innovation and real-world application.

The event also introduced the campus’ Eduvos Partner Plus programme, a community-focused small business development initiative designed to support local enterprises while creating meaningful opportunities for students. Through this platform, participating businesses gained access to practical training, expanded networking opportunities, Work-Integrated Learning support, mentorship, and increased visibility within the student community.

This initiative addressed a common challenge faced by many entrepreneurs in the region. While starting a business requires vision and drive, scaling it requires structure, support, and strategic insight. Eduvos Partner Plus was designed to bridge this gap through collaboration and shared growth.

The session concluded with informal networking over refreshments, allowing attendees to strengthen connections and explore future partnerships within the Potchefstroom community.

On behalf of the Potchefstroom campus, Campus General Manager Jean Henrico extends sincere appreciation to all attendees and partners who contributed to the success of the event, with special thanks to GSOK for their collaboration.

Events like these reflect Eduvos’ commitment to building strong industry connections, supporting local business development, and creating opportunities that prepare students for the world of work.

Together, we grow stronger. Together, we build the future.
