Choosing what to study is an important decision, and understanding yourself can be a valuable part of that journey.
That is why Eduvos has introduced the Study Pathway Survey, which is a valuable starting point for exploring your interests, preferences, learning style, and possible study direction. Once you complete the assessment, you receive a personalised faculty-match report by email, giving you a starting point for exploring your higher education options.
But your discovery doesn’t have to end there. With the CliftonStrengths assessment you can go further and understand how you approach challenges, work with others, learn, and contribute.
Explore your strengths with the CliftonStrengths assessment
After completing the Eduvos Study Pathway Survey, you will receive a follow-up email inviting you to explore CliftonStrengths through Being Human Group (BHG), Eduvos’ strengths partner.
CliftonStrengths is a Gallup assessment that identifies 34 talent themes – recurring patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Once completed, you receive a personalised report highlighting your top five themes and giving you language to better understand and discuss your strengths. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and will show you two statements at a time; you will then choose which one sounds more like you and how strongly it applies. There are no right or wrong answers.
While the assessment is optional, it offers a different perspective from your Eduvos faculty-match report. The CliftonStrengths can help you understand how you naturally think, feel, behave, and contribute.
The two assessments are separate, but they can complement each other by helping you understand both where you may want to explore and the strengths you can bring to that journey.
How can understanding your strengths help you?
Once you understand more about your strengths, you can start thinking about how they show up in your everyday life – from the way you approach your schoolwork and challenges to how you work with others and make decisions about your future.
For example, you might reflect on:
- How do I naturally approach challenges at school?
- What role do I tend to take when working on group projects?
- How do I communicate my ideas and express myself?
- What comes naturally to me?
- Which subjects, activities or tasks do I enjoy most?
- How could my strengths help me choose a study path that suits me?
- How can I use my strengths to develop new skills?
These insights can help you better understand yourself as you explore your interests, subjects, and future study options. They can support conversations with your parents, teachers, mentors, and Higher Education Consultants, while helping you recognise your strengths and feel more confident about the choices ahead.
