Eduvos Students Connect with Industry at Career Fairs.

Earlier this month, our
12 campuses
brought students and industry together, creating opportunities for students to explore career pathways, build professional connects, and gain first-hand insights into the world of work.
With over 1,700 students across our campuses attending and more than 240 employers participating, this year's Career Fairs
provided our students with the opportunity to engage with organisations across a wide variety of industries and explore potential career paths.
Connecting Students with Industry.
For many students, understanding different careers and industries and building professional networks is just as
important as gaining a qualification. While academic knowledge provides an important foundation, meaningful
engagement with industry leaders helps students understand how the skills they are developing through their
studies will translate in the workplace.
Our annual Career Fairs create a space where Vossies can speak directly with employers, ask questions about
potential career paths, and learn more about the opportunities available to them.
These conversations also gave students the opportunity to build their confidence in professional settings.
Speaking with employers, introducing themselves, and asking questions are all valuable experiences
that can help students prepare for future networking opportunities and workplace interactions.
Creating Opportunities Beyond Campus Walls.
Beyond helping students learn more about potential careers, the Career Fairs also created opportunities for students
and employers to connect in ways that could lead to future placements and employment. The events strengthened Eduvos' relationships
with industry partners and opened the door to opportunities such as internships, Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements,
job shadowing, graduate programmes, and future employment.
By bringing students and employers together on campus, the Career Fairs helped create a bridge between academic
life and the professional world. The conversations that began at the events may become the first step towards
a student's career opportunity.
Strong Industry Response.
The response from participating employers highlighted the value of the Career Fairs as a platform for connecting with emerging talent.
Employers rated the Career Fairs an average of 4.3 out of 5, reflecting the positive experience of engaging with Eduvos
students and the wider Eduvos community. Encouragingly, 97% of participating employers indicated that they would like
to participate again in 2027.
This strong response demonstrates that industry partners see value in connecting with students and contributing
to their career development. It also reflects the professionalism, enthusiasm, and curiosity shown by students
throughout the events.
Students also responded positively to the experience, describing the Career Fairs as informative, encouraging, and valuable.
Many appreciated the opportunity to meet professionals in person and gain a clearer sense of the possibilities available after graduation.
As our Vossies continue their academic journeys, the connections made at these events can help them move forward with greater confidence and a clearer understanding of the possibilities ahead.
