We are proud to announce that two Vossies from our Eduvos Bedfordview campus, Olwethu Tukula and Urma Fritz, have earned international recognition at the WorldStar Global Packaging Awards Student 2025 competition.
The WorldStar Student Awards, hosted by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) since 1970, is the benchmark of excellence in packaging design. This isn’t just any competition – it is exclusively open to students who have already proven their talent in a national-level contest endorsed by a WPO member organisation.
Olwethu and Urma first showcased their skills locally, excelling in the Student Gold Pack Awards.
Their work was evaluated by a panel of industry leaders and executive directors from over 60 countries, with judging criteria including:
Olwethu Tukula was recognised for her innovative project, Jacobs for the Coffee Lovers, while Urma Fritz impressed with her creative White Rabbit Origami design. Their achievements reflect the high standards of creativity, technical skill, and innovation nurtured in the Eduvos Graphic Design Department.
We are committed to empowering students with the skills, knowledge, and real-world experience to thrive in global industries. Olwethu and Urma’s success not only highlights their individual talents but also reinforces our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in design education.
This achievement goes beyond awards – it’s a career-defining moment. As the WorldStar Student Awards winners, these students gain:
